Ron was my mentor & friend, he made everything seem great, nothing was to much of a problem for him, he took me to different establishments I never knew existed, together we made all four AWE Fire Stations into one Firebrigade with him as the Chief Officer giving those stations a better out look with the possibility to transfer, which they did when AWE closed Foulness & Cardiff, those were the best times of my working career which I will never foget, he made that all possible.
