Places where we have lived

Our homes have been many and various. We started our married life together at a flat in Luqa village on the Island of Malta. We lived there for 18 months. I still remember walking to it with Ron from the airport on a warm January night in 1960. After leaving there we rented a flat in a large house called Crossways in Finedon, Northamptonshire. (Ron was stationed at RAF Honington) and a year later we bought a caravan and lived at the edge of Honington Airfield. That was great fun, especially during the winters. My mother died while we lived there and Ron borrowed a car to take me and the children up to Northamptonshire. Ron went to Wildenrath, West Germany in 1964 and we rented a flat in Miele, then moved into our first married quarter at Wildenrath. After Elisabeth was born we moved to a bigger house there. 1967 we spent a month in our caravan at Thatchers Yard, at Burton Latimer, and then into a Council House which we later bought. 1978 we moved to Higham Ferrers, and lived there for six years. Next move was in 1984 when we bought a house at Amesbury, in Wiltshire. 1989 we went to Tadley, Hampshire. When Ron retired we decided to move back to our roots and watched our house being built at Desborough Northamptonshire in 1999.
