Ron was posted to RAF Honnington in 1961. We lived at Finedon, Northants at "Crossways" for a year and Christopher was born there in 1962. We then bought a caravan at Rymer Point, near Honnington airfield and spent two years on a site at the side of the airfield. David was born at RAF Ely in 1964, and soon after, Ron went to Wildenrath in Germany. We followed and moved into a Married Quarter. We made many friends there including Eddie Morris who was a fireman, and his family, and Maurice Turner and family. They remained very close friends throughout Ron's life, and are still very good friends. He became a Corporal whilst in Germany. Elisabeth was born at RAF Wegberg in 1965 and our family was complete. We spent three happy years there before returning to England in 1968. Ron's last posting was to RAF North Luffenham, and we lived in his home town of Burton Latimer. The children went to schools there, in their father's footsteps.
